Gerren Rush

Gerren Rush, is a teacher, speaker, author and father, who has built a platform centered around his love for children. Gerren is graduate of Houston Baptist University with a degree in Marketing and Art. He currently works for Houston Independent School District as a 3rd Grade teacher at Mark Twain Elementary. His passion for teaching is known not only throughout the Twain community and district, but it’s expressed in everything he touches.

 

Krystal Carter

A passionate wife, mother of three children, educator, village builder, advocate of health and education equity, and community builder. When she is not in the classroom you may find her volunteering to coach her children’s sports teams, co-hosting the podcast Fam-llennial, or volunteering in the community. She is a graduate of the University of Houston with a degree in Exercise Science and Biology. She has experience teaching high school biology, middle school science and now, elementary science lab. She was also awarded the 2019 Teacher of the Year for her campus.

 

Monyce Rush

Monyce Rush, is an artistic soul, who finds joy in crafting, and cake & cookie decorating. She received a degree in Psychology and Art from Houston Baptist University, and a Masters of Arts in School Psychology from the University of Houston Victoria. She currently is employed by Alief ISD as a Licensed Specialist in School Psychology, and has her own successful business, creating custom tasty treats called SugarRush Cookie & Cake Co.  On any random day of the week, you can find her creating edible masterpieces.

 

Marcus Carter

Marcus is a former middle school and high school Head Coach and PE teacher for student’s grades K-12. With years of experience playing college sports, managing community centers for the City of Houston, teaching fitness classes and facilitating adult and youth sports leagues. He knows just how to keep exercise and movement fun for students of all ages. He can be found serving the youth in his hometown of Rusk, Texas. He has a family-owned, non-profit Cherokee County Team Vision Outreach which organizes youth sports, speaking engagements, mentoring when not spending time with his family.
